As the sleeping/living/working areas are all under one roof, residents have exclusive use of the studio. Heriot Toun Studio can sleep up to four people, two in a twin bedded room and two on a sofa bed in the living area. (Bed linen is provided)
Our eco-friendly studio has a ground source heat pump and underfloor heating, with sheeps wool insulation throughout and is so cosy that the stove is rarely needed.
The twin bedded room has shelves and drawers for storage as well as hanging space. There is a hifi and a hairdryer and reading lights above the beds. The shower room/toilet is immediately adjacent to the bedroom.
There is a well equipped kitchen with hob/oven and fridge.(see list below for details)
The sitting area has comfortable seats, wood burning stove, bookcase with books and magazines, cd player/radio, 15" dvd player, reading lights and a table for eating /reading/writing.
There is wifi for internet access, not brilliant but ok for checking emails. There's signal for mobiles if you stand on the deck, and a landline with an honesty box if something goes wrong with your mobile.
We provide a small basket of logs and kindling, but please bring your own small logs if you think you'll use the stove a lot.

There is a timber deck immediately outside the working area of the studio which could be used for poetry readings, yoga, music, relaxing, eating drinking. There is also a campfire area and bbq but please byo charcoal..
