RATES

Heriot Toun Studio is available for self-catering weekly or short breaks all year round. For workshops the studio is available to let by the day or weekend.

We've had unusually hard winters the last couple of years and the studio is difficult in snowy conditions; especially getting up the track - it can be very slippy. Also, in a northerly wind the road can block, so without trying to sound like a doom-monger, please bear this in mind when you book the studio. We don't have a vehicle to pull you out if your car gets stuck so responsibility lies with you! We'll endeavour to clear the track and the path to the studio in the morning, but if it continues to snow you'll need to do the digging yourself - there will be a snow shovel here. So please think before you come - you need to be self sufficient during the winter months.

 

1. A non refundable deposit of 25% in the form of a cheque is required to secure a booking. Payment in full must be received 2 weeks prior to arrival. Sorry but we don't accept credit cards.

2. If you have to cancel less than 2 weeks from your arrival date, the full fee is payable if we have been unable to secure an alternative booking. (We recommend that you take out insurance against cancellation.)

3. We love our four legged friends and have one ourselves, but please let us know in advance if you're bringing yours. Remember, we're surrounded by livestock.

Last minute bookings are fine, just ring.

SINGLE OCCUPANCY:
Weekend (Friday evening to Sunday evening):£160
1 week : £300

2 - 4 PEOPLE
Weekend:£200
1 week:£350.

Weekend times are from Friday evening to Sunday evening. Weekly stays are flexible and can be from any day to any day if dates suit.

Day rates for workshops etc (ie no overnight stays) :
£60 per full day, £30 half day ie morning or afternoon.

Alternative accommodation
The studio sleeps a maximum of four people but If you find you have more bodies than beds, we can try to help out with local b and b's or camping in the garden.

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:

• Exclusive use of the studio
• Heating and electricity
• Gas for cooking
• All bed linen and towels (including tea towels)
• One basket of logs and kindling is supplied. Thereafter please supply your own small logs. (The stove can't take big ones)
• Initial supply of tea, coffee, sugar
• Use of two bicycles
• portable bbq, byo charcoal

We also have wifi for internet access. Mostly it's fine but the bandwidth in Heriot and this part of the Borders in general isn't great, so there can be times when its a bit dodgy. All in all, it's adequate for checking emails but please don't expect more than that - anything else is a bonus. There is signal for mobiles at Heriot Toun and there is also a land line phone in the studio with an honesty box if your mobile fails.
